Software Engineer

The Software Engineer will build and maintain ConferED's web applications, integrations, and platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-quality web applications.
• Build APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases and cloud storage.
• Develop and maintain third-party integrations.
• Implement authentication, permissions, commerce, and content workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and technical planning.
• Write maintainable and testable code.
• Work with product and QA teams throughout development.
• Contribute to architecture and performance improvements.

Preferred technical background

• JavaScript / TypeScript
• React / Next.js
• Node.js
• PostgreSQL
• REST APIs
• AWS/S3 or comparable cloud infrastructure
• Git
• Modern authentication and security practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software-development experience.
• Strong understanding of web-development fundamentals.
• Experience building production applications.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with distributed teams.
